Megan Keathley

Playwright and Rita

Megan was going to get her MFA in Acting but stumbled into an experimental dinner theater in Seattle instead, and they didn’t let her out until the pandemic. On the way there she got waitlisted at The Theatre School at DePaul in Chicago, and the Stella Adler Studio in New York. She’ll finish her MA in Writing this winter (she really needs a job*). She’s worked professionally on multiple stages in Chicago; previous Springfield credits include “POTUS” (SCT), “12 Angry Jurors” (MSU), “As You Like It” (Sgf. Shakespeare Fest) and Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” (SLT). In addition to originating one of the character roles, she has a writing credit on the comedy-parody “Titanish,” which sold out its two-year run in Seattle and recently had its off-Broadway premiere in Boston. “Margaret/Rita” is Megan’s solo playwriting debut.
*If you or someone you know is hiring a technical writer, editor, corporate trainer, content developer, admin/executive assistant, project manager, English/comms/theatre teacher, tutor or tour guide, please talk to her after the show.
