“I rarely am left without words to express the experience of anything. However, the talent of the writer, cast, production crew has left me speechless. What an awesome experience! Bravo ladies and gentlemen, bravo.”

– Audience member

What to Expect

A hopeful young woman steps into what seems like the opportunity of a lifetime, caring for the reclusive son of a brilliant chemist whose death was anything but natural until her optimism quickly fades when she meets her new charge, a grotesquely disfigured manchild with an appetite for violence. As the walls close in she begins to realize this job may cost far more than she ever imagined.

special Thanks

We are deeply grateful to the DOTS Fringe Festival for the opportunity to share our work, and to the Necrobroth Theatre production team whose passion and tireless efforts made this production possible.

“Working on this show you realize the scariest moments aren’t the loud ones, they’re the quiet ones where something just feels unsettling.”

– Persephone Atreides

Sean Parker

Playwright
and Assistant Director

Sean Parker is a horror writer and performer, known for crafting eccentric characters, interconnected narratives, and unsettling worlds that blend dark humor with psychological horror. He is the creator of the Crawfordville theatrical universe, an ongoing series of more than 25 plays and short stories set within the sinister and mysterious city of Crawfordville. His work often explores identity, obsession, madness, and the hidden darkness beneath ordinary life. Facade, a Hitchcockian inspired thriller, examines the masks people wear to conceal the disturbing truths lurking underneath. Outside the stage, Sean is also recognized locally for portraying Jack the Ripper at the Dungeons of Doom.

 Jordan Duke

Reynard Visus

Jordan Duke is known for MEAD (2022), where he had a small role as Achilles F6 pilot Devol. He has also been an actor, director, and choreographer for multiple stage productions and YMCA of Seymour, Missouri fundraisers.

Micayla Storm

Madary Gizer

Micayla is beyond thrilled to be returning to Necrobroth Theatre to reprise her role as Madary Gizer in Facade. A Missouri State University grad (Theatre and Psychology, 2019), she’s kept busy over the years in the community theatre world with A Class Act Productions and Necrobroth Theatre — from Supernatural Live Parodies and Charmed Live Parodies to Repo the Genetic Opera shadow cast and horror one acts. Most recently she’s been involved with Queen City Shakespeare Co. after making her debut last season as Miranda in The Tempest and as Hailey Hudson in their most recent production of macbitches.

Facade has a special place in her heart as it was her first lead role in the horror anthology series Grave Tales, and she’s excited bring something new to the character years after it’s original showing. She hopes you enjoy the show — it’ll be a real scream.

 Elizabeth Dary

Gwendolyn

Elizabeth Leigh Dary has been a professional actor/singer for over 40 years. Favorite roles include Molly Brown in the Unsinkable Molly Brown, M’Lyn in Steel Magnolia’s, Janice in Hands on a Hardbody, and Juanita in Sordid Lives.

Persephone Atreides

Barbara
and Director

Persephone Atreides is the showrunner of Charming and producer for Necrobroth Theatre. Over the years she has worn many hats in the theatre including acting, directing, stage management, technical work, photography, and poster design bringing a wide range of creative and production experience to the stage. Barb in facade was her first acting experience in 2017 and she’s excited to reprise her role and direct this production https://linktr.ee/NecrobrothTheatre

Facade is not just a story of violence, it’s a slow unraveling of perception, control, and identity. The true terror doesn’t lie in what is seen but rather what is believed. Blending a grounded performance with a Hitchcockian sense of dread this production aims to create an atmosphere that feels uncomfortably authentic.

What sets Facade apart is the commitment to restraint and psychological realism. Instead of relying on spectacle the horror emerges through behavior, tension, and the unsettling familiarity of the character’s interactions. The audience is not only shown fear they’re drawn into it by being forced to question what is real, what is a facade, and how easily one can become trapped within a carefully maintained illusion.
